Montana Jordan and Emily Osment are getting ready to lead Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage. However, the Young Sheldon series finale must come first. The two stars teased an emotional ending.

Ahead of its May 16 premiere, Jordan and Osment talked to Deadline about the finale. They teased an ending that will require tissues.

“Get ready to cry,” Osment told the outlet. “Yes, get your tissues ready,” Jordan added.

What is the Young Sheldon series finale about?

Obviously, it's unclear exactly what the Young Sheldon series finale will be about. It's assumed that the series will depict the death of George Cooper Sr. (Lance Barber) given that it's mentioned in The Big Bang Theory.

However, it's unclear how he will die. He has had heart issues throughout the Young Sheldon run. Perhaps it is a fatal heart attack that led to his tragic passing.

The series finale will also have to wrap up Sheldon Cooper's (Iain Armitage) story arc. It's unclear if he will appear in the Young Sheldon spin-off George and Mandy's First Marriage. Even still, the series will have to stick the landing given that he's the title character of this series.

Meemaw is also going through a lot in Season 7. Her house was torn apart due to a tornado, she moved in with Dale (Craig T. Nelson), her boyfriend, and more.

The finale will air on May 16, 2024 on CBS.

Young Sheldon is a spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. It depicts the early life of Sheldon Cooper, who was played by Jim Parsons in The Big Bang Theory, as he goes through high school and college. Parsons does return as the narrator of the prequel series but is yet to appear on-screen.

Iain Armitage assumed the role that Parsons played. Young Sheldon premiered in 2017 and has seen Armitage and the rest of the cast grow up with each season. CBS made the decision to end the show with its seventh season, though.

What is Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage?

Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage is the first spin-off of Young Sheldon (which is a spin-off of The Big Bang Theory). It will continue the stories of the title characters, played by Montana Jordan and Emily Osment, respectively.

The characters met in the sixth season of Young Sheldon. Both of them lied about their age — Georgie posed as much older than he is and Mandy said she was younger — and ended up getting pregnant. They do give birth to the baby, naming her Connie (nicknamed “CeeCee”) after Georgie's grandmother.

In the seventh season, the two try and organize a wedding. As the title suggests, Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage will depict their first marriage. That may indicate that they break up and get back together at least once in the series.

It's unknown if any of the Young Sheldon cast will return for the show. Zoe Perry, Iain Armitage, Raegan Revord, Annie Potts, and Craig T. Nelson would all have a place on the spin-off.

George and Mandy's First Marriage will debut in fall 2024. It will take over Young Sheldon's spot in CBS' slate.
