The Golden State Warriors are gearing up for their playoff run as they look to sneak a victory in the play-in tournament. On another note, a former member of the Warriors championship teams has signed a deal with the Big 3. According to Marc Spears of ESPN, Warriors mentor and former NBA champ Leandro Barbosa has agreed to a deal to join the Big 3.

Barbosa was part of the Warriors squad that won the title in 2015. His final season in the NBA was 2016-2017 before playing a couple of seasons in Brazil. Barbosa was then hired in September to join the Warriors as an assistant coach.

So for Barbosa, he must have missed playing the game. Although he is still around the team, his chance to get back and get on the court might have been too tempting. Barbosa was a crucial part of the Suns' teams that had immense success from 2003 until 2010.

The Big 3 recently made a recruiting pitch to Jeremy Lin after his latest announcement.

For Barbosa, he might be the first of other big-ticket former NBA players. The league is hoping for Micheal Beasley and Lance Stephenson to join in on the fun. The Big 3 continues to aim high and make a run at an attempt for people to watch, and so far in its history, it has been a success.

Perhaps Barbosa will attract some Warriors fans and some old-school Suns fans.
