The New England Patriots suffered a tough loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15, 27-17.

Unfortunately, Ryan Kelly of the Colts had to miss this game due to the tragic loss of his unborn child. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick gave his thoughts to the Kelly family at the start of his postgame press conference:

There are things much bigger than football, and this is certainly one of them. Regardless if the Patriots lost or not, this is much more serious than a football loss, which Belichick realizes.

The Patriots did not play their best game and simply did not do enough to beat a very good Colts team. The Colts came out and punched the Patriots in the mouth as New England did not score a point for the first three quarters of the game.

Fortunately for the Patriots, they're still in first place of the AFC East with a one-and-a-half-game lead ahead of the second-place Buffalo Bills. They have some tough games coming up, including two of their last three against the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins. It's not going to be too easy for them to walk away with the AFC East.

It is unclear when Ryan Kelly is going to return for the Colts, but everybody's thoughts here at ClutchPoints is with Kelly and his family after their tragic loss. It is a horrible tragedy and something no one should ever have to go through.
