Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a breath of fresh air that occupies a niche that many JRPG players have been longing for. However, some gamers might be curious to know how long is Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes from bell to bell. After all, some players want a JRPG experience that is long-lasting and replayable. We take a look at the Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes length here.

How Long is Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – Main Story Length

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a throwback to classic JRPG where players can expect long stories and a lengthy game to play. Hence, JRPG fans who have been looking for an epic journey to embark on will be happy to know that the game runs between 45 – 50 hours in the main story.

This includes just going through the main story and not bothering with the game's requirement to backtrack to locations you've previously visited to recruit all characters. Note that recruiting all characters is necessary to see the True Ending. This also means you won't be spending time playing the game's numerous side-activities and mini-games.

Completionist Run Length

For the completionist run of the game, you can either complete the game once with the True Ending or complete all trophies for the game's Platinum Trophy. You don't need to aim for Platinum to see the True Ending, you just have to recruit all of the game's 120 heroes (including your initial party). That being said, a True Ending run will run closer to 60 hours of gameplay.

For a completionist run with a Platinum Trophy, you will have to grind a bit more to max out everything you could max out in the game. This includes difficult challenges like passing all of the Proving Grounds trials, unlocking all upgrades for the castle, upgrading all heroes' weapons to max level, opening all treasure chests, completing the bestiary, and seeing all the hot spring scenes, among others.

Undertaking this challenge will extend the game's shelf life. With the game's many mini-games, there are a lot of distractions you can apply yourself to. Completing each mini-game's trophy can even last for hours. Doing all of this can add another 15 to 20 hours depending on how good you are in these mini-games.

Hence, a completionist run for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes would be anywhere between 70-80 hours.

Does Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes have New Game+?

If in case you beat the final boss and rolled through the credits and realized you still haven't gotten the Platinum Trophy, don't worry. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has a New Game+ with a lot of things carrying over, which means it'll be easier for you to do your Completionist Run the second time around.

In Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, starting a New Game+ will have your recruited heroes, along with their levels, equipment, and runes, carry over. Baqua and your inventory is also carried over, although anything in your inventory during the carry over will be transferred to your storage.

So, what doesn't carry over?

The bestiary and your fishing log will both be reset, and your Castle will go back to Level 1, with all of the upgrades being reset. This means losing access to essential completionist services until you unlock them again in your new run.

Thankfully, the game doesn't force you to relinquish your save file right after finishing the game. You can continue grinding after the final battle as you see fit, allowing you to undertake New Game+ any time you want.
