EA Sports F1 24 is set to make some big changes this year, with updates to tracks, drivers, and teams all coming in the latest Formula One video game. Between the updated Silverstone Circuit and Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, as well as improved driver models, F1 24 not only aims to feel but look more authentic than ever. Without further ado, let's dive right in.

EA Sports F1 24 Updated Tracks, Drivers & Teams

EA Sports F1 24 will feature all 24 courses from this year's official calendar. Additionally, the following tracks received updates:

  • Silverstone Circuit – British GP
  • Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps – Belgian GP
  • Lusail International Circuit – Qatar GP
  • Jeddah Corniche Circuit – Saudi Arabian GP

The process of updating tracks is just one of the many challenges developer Codemasters takes on when releasing a new F1 title. Between using actual Formula 1 CAD data, professional photography and more, a ton of work is done on just updating the tracks alone each year. There's an added level of challenge too, considering we won't see some of these circuits until after the game launches.

EA Sports F1 24 Adds Real Driver Voices & Improved Driver Models

However, the tracks weren't the only thing to receive some major updates for the next F1 title. Drivers and Teams are also receiving some big changes in the upcoming release. Firstly, Codemasters is upgrading the driver designs with improved eye and skin shaders. Furthermore, these new models will have full hair rendering, to create a more real-to-life driver. Lastly, all cars from all ten teams received their respective updates to represent the latest Formula One vehicles.

Additionally, F1 24 will also feature real driver voices adapted from real F1 TV broadcasts. We saw a glimpse of this new feature during the gameplay reveal last week, which adds another level of authenticity to the game. To further immerse players in the experience, F1 24 will include more varied cutscenes to improve the overall presentation.

Speaking of drivers, more My Team Icons join in the fun including:

  • Pastor Maldonado
  • Jamie Chadwick
  • Ayrton Senna
  • Jacques Villenueve
  • Mika Hakkinen
  • Jenson Button
  • Felipa Massa
  • Mark Webber
  • Nigel Mansell
  • Kamui Kobayashi
  • *James Hunt (1976)
  • *Juan Pablo Montoya

Furthermore, these icons can be teammates, too, and not just playable drivers in modes like the new Driver Career. However, Hunt and Montoya are exclusive to those who purchase the F1 24 Champions Edition.

Does EA Sports F1 24 Have Formula 2 Cars?

Yes, the 2023 season Formula 2 cars make their way into the F1 24 at launch. However, the developers will add the 2024 season Formula 2 cars in a post-launch update.

Unfortunately, this means if you want to play the latest Formula 2 season, you'll need to some time before the 2024 season releases. We don't have an exact time table, but it could be anywhere from a couple to a few months. However, players can at least enjoy driving the Formula 2 cars, they just won't have access to the 2024 calendar and driver lineups yet. Nevertheless, a future update should address this.

That includes everything we know so far about the updated tracks, drivers, and teams in F1 24. We're excited to see the four updated circuits and improved driver models. Furthermore, we're excited about the potential of the real driver voice mechanic. It will not only improve F1 24's authenticity, but could hopefully be a returning feature in future titles.

We look forward to seeing F1 24 when it launches on May 31st.
