David Pick has reported that former New Orleans Pelicans forward Donatas Motiejunas was among the victims of a robbery which took place at a EuroBasket hotel. Motiejunas lost €6,000, while thousands of dollars worth of cash, credit cards, and watches were also stolen.

Motiejunas is currently playing for his home country Lithuania in the EuroBasket tournament. The 26-year-old is averaging 5.5 points and 1.0 rebound in 14 minutes per game in four games thus far.

Donatas Motiejunas will be heading over to China to play for the Shangdong Golden Stars after his one-year contract with New Orleans expired this offseason. The Lithuanian big man played in just 34 games for the Pelicans, averaging a career-low 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game.

After earning a prorated salary of $618,000 last season, Motiejunas has signed a deal that could be worth up to $3 million to play in China, so he'll earn back the €6,000 stolen from him and then some.
