The Boston Bruins look for a two-game series lead as they visit the Florida Panthers. It is time to continue our NHL odds series with a Bruins-Panthers Game 2 prediction, pick, and how to watch.

Game one of the series saw domination from the Bruins. After a scoreless first period, Matthew Tkachuk scored 11:45 into the second period to give the Panthers the lead. From there, it was all Boston. Morgan Geekie, Mason Lohrei, and Brandon Carlo all scored in the period to make it 3-1 for the Bruins. Then, Justin Brazeau and Jake DeBrusk scored in the third, giving the Bruins a 5-1 lead. Jeremy Swayman was amazing. He would have 38 saves on 39 shots, giving the Bruins a win on the road in the first game of the series.

Why The Bruins Will Cover The Spread/Win

Brad Marchand has been amazing for the Bruins in the playoffs. He has scored three thee goals and six assists in the playoffs. In the regular season, he had 29 goals and 38 assists, good for 67 points, and was second on the team. The team leader this year in points, goals, and assists, was David Pastrnak. Pastrnak scored 47 goals and 63 assists in the regular season. He currently is second on the team in the playoffs with three goals and three assists. Jake DeBrusk has been a star in the playoffs. He has 19 goals and 21 assists in the regular season. He has just two power-play goals as well. In the playoffs, DeBrusk has four goals and two assists, with three of the goals on the power play.

Charlie McAvoy continues to get assists in the playoffs. He has four points so far in the playoffs, all of them assists. in the regular season, he had 12 goals and 35 assists, good for 47 total points. Still, the biggest point for this team has been the multiple-line effort from the Bruins. Trent Frederic has three goals this playoff year while scoring just 18 in the regular season. Morgan Geekie has three goals as well in the playoffs, after having just 17 in the regular season.

Jeremy Swayman has been amazing in the playoffs this year. He is 5-2 in the playoffs with a 1.42 goals-against average and a .955 save percentage. Swayman has been over .920 in save percentage in every game in the playoffs so far. Further, he has been over .950 in save percentage four times in seven games in the playoffs so far.

Why The Panthers Will Cover The Spread/Win

For the Panthers to win game two, they need to see Sam Reinhart get going. He led the team with 57 goals in the regular season and also had 37 assists, good for 94 total points. He was dominant on the power play as well, with 27 goals and seven power-play assists. In the playoffs so far, he has just three goals with just one on the power play. He has seen his shot percentage drop from 24.5 percent in the regular season to just 10.3 percent in the playoff. The Panthers are getting production from their other goal-scorers though. Matthew Tkachuk had 26 goals and 62 assists in the regular season, good for second on the team in points. He has four goals and six assists in the playoffs, leading the team in points.

Meanwhile, Carter Verhaeghe is leading the team in goals in the playoffs. He has five goals and four assists so far in the playoffs. In the regular season, he was second on the team in goals and fourth in points. He had 34 goals and 38 assists in the regular season. Aleksandr Barkov is also playing well. He has two goals and four assists in the pl; layoffs so far. In the regular season, he was third on the team in points with 23 goals and 57 assists.

The Panthers will also hope for a bounceback game from Sergei Bobrovsky. In the power season, he has a .890 save percentage and a 3.00 goals-against average. He has two games in which he has given up four or more goals, both of them resulting in losses. Final Bruins-Panthers Prediction & Pick

This is going to come down to goaltending. Sergei Bobrovsky was bad in game one of the series. The problem is, that he has not been great in the playoffs overall. He has just one game above .915 in save percentage in the playoffs. Swayman has been dominant. That will continue in this one as the Bruins get a 2-0 series lead.
