The Las Vegas Aces are building a WNBA dynasty. The Indiana Fever have received no shortage of attention after selecting Caitlin Clark in the 2024 WNBA Draft, but the Aces' accomplishments in recent seasons should not be forgotten. A'ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum led the Aces to back-to-back championships in 2022 and 2023, and Las Vegas is looking for a third consecutive WNBA Finals victory in 2024.

The Aces superstars recently addressed the upcoming '24 campaign.

Wilson is a consistent MVP candidate. She has already won the award twice and finished third in MVP voting in 2023. Wilson is not content, though. She discussed her goals for the '24 season, via NBA TV.

“I love the game… I don't want to be average, I want to continue to uplift each other and myself,” Wilson said. “But at the same time, it's still things I want to check off… still things that I want to do. I don't just want to die down and be like, ‘oh, she was good in the first part of her career, what happened?' I want to continue to push that needle, continue to grow in my game and along with my teammates.”

Wilson was later asked what fans can expect of her in 2024. After taking some time to think about the question, the Aces star provided an insightful response.

“I feel like the unexpected is sometimes the best gift,” Wilson said. “You just don't know, I feel like you really don't know. I've worked on a lot of different things. So hopefully I can just like show that. My biggest thing is I want to be better than I was last year. Whatever that looks like… I'll be satisfied with that.”

Kelsey Plum ready for WNBA campaign with Aces after challenging offseason

Plum has emerged as one of the better players in the league alongside Wilson. Wilson is always an MVP candidate, while Plum has received MVP consideration in the past.

Her offseason was clouded with distraction, though. Plum went through a public divorce with NFL player Darren Waller.

Focusing on basketball while going through a divorce is surely an immense challenge. Plum said she is “excited” for the '24 campaign nonetheless, via Paloma Villicana of FOX5 Las Vegas.

“I mean, the offseason has been tough for me,” Plum said. “I'm sure everyone knows, it's pretty public. You know, for me I'm super grateful. I think my faith has grown tremendously. Not just that, but I know who I am. You kind of get refined by fire. I'm excited about this season, I'm excited about Las Vegas, trying to run it back again.

“I know that our fans are with us, I know that this organization is with us… Our team is as tight as we've ever been. So we really just embody that Aces vs. everybody.”

The Aces project to feature a competitive roster once again. They will remain confident in their championship hopes with A'ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum leading the way.
