Aaron Taylor-Johnson is over being asked about James Bond. It doesn't sound like he will take over the 007 mantle anytime soon.

Speaking to the Associated Press at the premiere of The Fall Guy, Taylor-Johnson shut down the Bond rumors. He was asked if he's “sick” of being asked about it, to which he sighed and replied, “You sick of asking the question?”

He did give a smile before leaving the interview.

The James Bond franchise is currently seeking its next 007. Daniel Craig held down the role from 2006-21 beginning with Casino Royale. He played the role in five total films, which also included Skyfall and No Time to Die.

His run was a huge hit. Skyfall made over $1.1 billion at the box office, and Spectre made $880 million. Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace were also two of the highest-grossing films in the entire James Bond franchise, grossing $606 million and $589 million, respectively. No Time to Die closed out Craig's run grossing $774 million worldwide.

Previously, the likes of Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan have also played 007. However, all of their times have come to a close, and the franchise moves on to a new star. Taylor-Johnson would fit the bill, as he has experience working in action films given his roles in the Kick-Ass franchise, the MCU, and David Leitch's films including Bullet Train and The Fall Guy.

While Taylor-Johnson seems over being asked about it, it's possible he's keeping quiet before an official announcement. Regardless of whether or not he landed the role, Taylor-Johnson and the James Bond franchise will be fine.
