One of the top tackles in the 2022 NFL Draft is off the board. With the seventh overall pick, the New York Giants have selected Evan Neal.

The mammoth Alabama tackle has all the tools to make him one of the elite players at the position in the NFL. At 6′ 7 1/2″ and 337 pounds, Neal will have a size advantage against just about any defender he faces. And for those worried about his movement, don't be. Neal moves with grace and quickness unfathomable for a man of his size. And just check out this freakish athleticism.

Neal started at both tackle spots during his time at Alabama, but he projects as a left tackle in the NFL as long as he can continue to manage his weight. He's a stellar run blocker, and his pass blocking is good, bordering on great. Oh, and Neal entered the NFL Draft after his true junior season, so at just 21-years-old, it's scary to think he'll only get better.

There are some concerns with Neal's weight. He played at around 350 pounds last season, and at times he overextends, making himself top heavy and an easy target for a speedy edge rusher.

But Neal still more than held his own against fierce SEC opposition stacked with NFL-caliber pass rushers. In 2021, Neal won first-team All-SEC honors and was voted second-team All-American. In 40 career games at Alabama, Neal allowed just five sacks and nine quarterback hits. Despite skipping out on the 2022 NFL Draft Combine, Neal was always a sure top-10 pick in this year's draft.

The Giants add a stud at left tackle in Evan Neal in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. An experienced winner at Alabama, Neal is an immediate stalwart on the left side of the line.
