Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock could reunite for Speed 3, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The stars dropped by the 50 MPH podcast to talk about their 1994 movie, along with their co-stars Jeff Daniels, Alan Ruck and Dennis Hopper.

When they were asked about a possible reunion, the John Wick star replied, “I mean, you know — we'd freakin' knock it out of the park.

Bullock said that she would be up for it, adding, “Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera. Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Are we on little scooters at Disneyland?”

Reeves agreed. He said that if they do end up making another movie together, it can't be forced.

“It does feel like there is a siren call to it, like there's something that wasn't done,” he explained.

Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock: down to reunite for Speed 3

“I would love to work with you again before our eyes close,” the actor said to Bullock.

Three years after the Jan de Bont original film's release, the actress starred in a sequel Speed 2: Cruise Control, while Reeves didn't. The Academy Award-winning actress said she regretted being in the second film, which Rotten Tomatoes named as one of the 59 Worst Sequels of All Time at number 19. The film scored an abysmal 4% Tomatometer and a kinder, but still low 16% audience rating.

Even though Reeves and Bullock did not reunite in Speed 2, they both have good memories of their time together in the first movie.

“We had an affection,” the actor said on the podcast.

“And the characters themselves have an affection. I think Jack and Annie's is different than Sandra's and Keanu's, but I think we played off each other and I think it was just fun. I think, also, we kind of trusted each other, right?” he noted.

Miss Congeniality added that their connection on set and on screen is the reason why fans are still rooting for their characters in the film.

“I felt very comfortable with Keanu,” she said.

“There was nothing that I couldn't try or do or say that he wouldn't have, I felt, fought for me to do or say or try, and that kind of trust is very rare with actors. Anytime I threw something his way, he swatted it right back and you just go, ‘OK, there's my partner,'” Bullock explained.

Their chemistry on set have been fodder for discussion among long-time fans of the movie. During an 2018 appearance on Ellen Degeneres, Bullock admitted that she had a crush on Reeves when they were making the film. A year later, on the same show, Reeves said the crush was mutual.

The two had worked together after Speed in the 2006 fantasy romantic drama The Lake House, which was a remake of a 2000 Korean film Il Mare.

Speed was a star-making turn for both Reeves and Bullock, making them two of Hollywood premiere leading actors and actresses. When it was released, it grossed $350.4 million worldwide on a $30 million budget, making it the fifth-highest grossing film of 1995. It also won two Oscars for best sound effects editing and best sound.

Reeves will next be heard in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie, voicing Shadow. He'll also reprise his role in the John Wick spinoff Ballerina. The actor will also be returning as Constantine in the sequel.

Bullock was last seen in the 2022 film Bullet Train. She has the movie Vigilante currently in pre-production, a remake of the 2004 French action crime drama Le Convoyeur (English title: Cash Truck). The actress won her Oscar for the 2019 film The Blind Side.
